Golden Cap

Seatown. The highest point on the south coast of England, with views along the whole of Lyme Bay.

Golden Cap, named for the golden sandstone at its top, is the highest point on the south coast of England at 191 metres. From the summit you can see along Lyme Bay in both directions, and on a clear day far out to sea.

The land is cared for by the National Trust. Popular routes climb from Seatown, or from the National Trust car park at Langdon Hill for a gentler start through the woods.
