The Greenhouse, Eype

We had a great time at this amazing place. It was spotless with a great kitchen and bathroom, loads of towels and hotel standard beds. So much to do in the local area and great places to eat. There is in fact a car park in front of the accommodation but on weekdays it was empty and we didn’t really notice it at the weekend. There’s a huge field surrounding which is great for kids to play, really safe. The beach is perfect and literally 2 mins away.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful seaside cottage. The location is absolutely perfect – just a short stroll to the beach with stunning coastal views and lovely walks right on the doorstep. The cottage itself was cosy and very well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. It felt like a real home from home. The beds were comfortable, the décor was charming, and we especially loved sitting outside and listening to the wild sea. The host was fantastic – friendly, welcoming and great with communication from start to finish. Check-in was seamless and we felt looked after throughout our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful seaside escape. Thank you for a perfect stay! 🌊

What a gem Positive: The most perfect seaside home. Easy to book and great communication. Comfortable beds and modern bathroom with walk in shower. The view was stunning with the sounds of the waves crashing was relaxing.

We had a lovely last minute Feb Half Term break at Tim’s cabin. The whole place was spotless, well equipped, pristine bed linen and towels . The kitchen has everything you need and more! The one thing we felt a little disappointed by, was that some of the photos, particularly the aerial shot, make the property look at lot more private than it is. There is in fact a car park directly in front of the property meaning that the decked area is overlooked and lacks privacy. It was very busy even in February so this is something to bear in mind if you are looking for a secluded spot! I imagine it gets very crowded in the summer months. The roads leading to the cabin are single track and very narrow which made the approach a little challenging. There are plenty of coastal walks to do. We had a lovely walk to West Bay which only took 30 minutes. The Discovery Centre was fantastic for our children and a great place to shelter from the rain. The volunteers were very welcoming.

We had the most wonderful time staying here. The house was immaculate and well heated, perfect for the wintery weather outside. You can see the sea from the window and walk to the sea in a minute! It was the perfect time away, we would 100% recommend!!

Absolutely beautiful stay! This was our first family holiday as a four and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest. The accommodation was immaculate, warm, cosy and modern. The kitchen had everything you needed. With plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery. The beds are super comfy with lovely pillows. The rooms are spacious as we had room to fit a travel cot down one side. They also have built in wardrobes. The shower is amazing !! So warm and powerful. All info is explained in a manual which is very handy. WiFi is great and works perfect. The area around is absolutely beautiful! With walks in every direction. The climb up the hill gives you fantastic views and you can see people paragliding off the top. Hosts stayed in touch and replied quickly. Plenty to do in the area for children and adults alike ! Highly recommend

We had a lovely stay, all our needs were met and the location is amazing.

Beautiful, spacious lodge right on the beach front. Can’t recommend it enough. Great location for surrounding attractions, West Bay 10 Mins, Chalmouth 15 mins and Lyme Regis 20 mins. Nice looking pub very closed but was closed during our stay. Beach Cafe also looked great and only a minutes walk away.

We had a wonderful say in Tim's chalet by the sea. What an amazing location - the sound of the waves incredible stars and the South West Coast path on our doorstep. The chalet is warm and cosy, very well equipped, really comfortable. Perfect for all weathers and seasons. We really hope to be back and can't recommend it highly enough. Really helpful and responsive hosts too. Fantastic! Thank you for a lovely time!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tim’s chalet. It is so peaceful and snug. The place has been renovated to a high spec and keeps you very warm when cold outside. We loved the view of the sea each day and watching the sunset in the evenings from the beach. The property had all the amenities and services you would need. A home from home.

Perfect for what we had intended - walks on the south Coast Path East & West Positive: It was exactly like the photos. Bright, airy also well insulated. Hardly used the heating at all. Negative: There was nothing I didn’t like except the pub had closed so we were a bit limited where we could eat locally. The local cafe was great for one breakfast but wasn’t open the next 2 x days - presumably because we were into off season, however great food and nice people.

A very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing stay on the glorious Dorset coast. Positive: The chalet is very well equipped, tastefully designed and comfortable. The view from the terrace across the sea and cliffs is beautiful, especially in the glorious sunshine, and access to the beach is easy. We also appreciated the large sun parasol provided. The narrow, twisting road leading to the chalet park is a challenge, but once on the main roads, Bridport, etc, are close by for restaurants, markets, etc. Negative: It would have been nice to have higher, more comfortable chairs on the terrace, to see the views to the sea, rather than just the picnic bench. The deckchairs and beach chairs provided are too low for that purpose.

Fantastic few days in Eype Positive: We absolutely loved our stay at this chalet and felt at home as soon as we arrived. Warm & cosy with lots of natural light, relaxing decor with a seaside feel and extremely well equipped kitchen plus very good bathroom and two stylish bedrooms. Waking up in the morning and opening the doors to see and hear the sea made this place very special - as did sitting out on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine as the sun set behind the cliffs. Located right on the south west coastal path, it is great for invigorating walks - we walked into West Bay one day and up to Golden Cap another day. The views are out of this world and we were so lucky with the weather. Can highly recommend the Anchor pub at Seatown and the café at Symondsbury for lunch, followed by a walk through the mysterious ‘Holloways’. As other reviews have mentioned, there is a car park is directly below the property so it may have a car parked in front of it but it certainly didn’t impact our stay and there is no overnight parking allowed. We hope to come back to this very special place one day.

Even better than expected! Positive: Beautiful holiday home which is tastefully kitted out with quality fixtures and fittings, we especially appreciated having such comfortable beds. The location is great, although the road to get to it is slightly hair-raising, especially in the dark.

We had a very enjoyable stay and would love to stay again. Positive: It was very clean and tastefully decorated. Negative: The road to the property is very narrow only suitable for single traffic.

GREAT STAY AT EYPE

An absolute gem of a place! Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, well organised, comfortable (amazing beds!!)… and a view to remember. Even though we pulled the short straw with the weather, we loved our stay and the house really was perfect. Wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you, we will be back :)

It was a lovely place to stay. Very easy to check in and very clean. Lots of good walks and so close to the beach.

Wonderful spot just a 2 minute walk from the beach (with stairs and rocks so not suitable for everyone!) with a clear sea view. The place was clean and there were thoughtful touches left for our arrival. Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate and even milk. There was a spare rubbish bag. Spare tea towel. Washing up amenities so you don’t need to worry about that. Little bags of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Enough towels per person. The place was wonderfully clean and tidy for our arrival. The Area has lots of walks/ hikes if you’re up for the coastal path. A nice walk to west bay for some evening fish and chips. And lots and lots to explore in the area. Road down to the chalet is a bit precarious as it’s mostly a one track path so definitely some reversing moments to let other traffic through but it’s not a busy road. We loved our stay here so much. Would definitely come back again!

Das Häuschen in Eype ist wunderbar in Strandnähe gelegen, es ist eine Freude hier aufzuwachen oder den Sonnenuntergang zu geniessen. Es ist liebevoll zum Meer passend eingerichtet. Wir haben uns mit den Kindern sehr wohlgefühlt, auch der Strand ist friedlich und nicht der übliche Rummelplatz, wohl auch wegen der etwas anspruchsvollen Zufahrt. Top Empfehlung - wir würden wiederkommen!

We hebben dit huis gekozen om de bijzondere plek aan zee en vlakbij het southwest coastpath. Een heel mooi huis met uitgebreide voorzieningen. Ook het Eype beach garden café is fantastisch en heerlijk en op loopafstand te bezoeken.

Beautiful chalet with a seaview! Well equiped, very much as in the pictures. Professional style but very clear communication. Road down to the beach is very narrow and dealing with the opposing traffic is a bit tricky. Good value for the money!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully decorated property. The interior was stylish and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, making it very comfortable and convenient. The location is excellent—right by the beach, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. There is a public parking area in front of the house. During the summer months, the public area may get a bit busy, but this doesn’t affect the overall tranquility of the location. A perfect spot for a relaxing seaside break. Highly recommended!

I can only recommend this place for spending a few days at the Jurassic Coast. It is a lovely cabin,in a perfect spot with direct view to the sea. It has all you need and the costal decoration is perfectly chosen. Cleaner than any 5* hotel, has so many details, coffee and tea bags and biscuits. Towels and bedding was better than in a hotel. Everything was amazing

The location was amazing, with views of the sea. The chalet was very clean and we arrived to find a supplies, milk, tea bags and sugar.

I had good communication with Tim before our arrival, with clear instructions about the house & local recommendations. The house is in such a great location with coastal walks right on the doorstep with beautiful views. The pebbly beach in front of the house is at the bottom of a twisty road so we usually had the beach to ourselves. Something to appreciate after visiting busier beaches nearby. The view of the sunsets & stars at night were wonderful. The house gets lots of light so it was great after a long drive to enter a warm, welcoming space. It had everything we needed and we felt at home straight away. The decor is beautifully done and the open plan kitchen/living room worked well for us. When it's warmer having the doors open would be perfect. The location was so quiet and it feels very private. We didn't need to contact Tim during our stay but I knew that it wouldn't have been an imposition to do so if I'd had any questions. I'd definitely book again.

Loved our short stay here - great place for some peace and country walks

This is a very well equiped and presented chalet, at the end of a long single track road. with most of what you would need for a weekend or week long stay. The instructions to find the location, check-in and use the facilities of the chalet were comprehensive, with a starter pack of long life milk, and all the condiments. During our stay the weather was cold, but the heating system was well documented and easy to use, so we stayed comfortable. A minor point is the Nespresso machine uses the Vertuo pods that are not wildly available at supermarkets, so don't bring (or buy) the "Original" pods (there is a cafetiere press). It's also important to note that it is immediately adjacent to the coastal path so at weekends and school holidays you will probably have lots of people walking past a few feet away and looking in through the picture window/doors that look out, past the car park, to the sea.

We had such great time at Tim’s place, the chalet was in an amazing and beautiful spot. Easy to find and peaceful, we hope to come back one day.

We recently stayed at the property with its stunning sea views and were thoroughly impressed. The accommodation was exceptionally well-equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. lovely cabin right next to the beach. access along some narrow roads though. but opens onto picturesque coastline. walking distance to west point beach and town. near Bridport. 10 mins to supermarket. clean and comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped. could imagine even coming back in the winter, to get away from it all! Nice for stargazing in evening as very little light pollution.

The chalet at Eype's Mouth was very comfortable and enjoys the sound and a view of the sea all day. It is fitted out to a high standard and well located to enjoy a morning cuppa looking at the sea either overlooking the sea on the cliffs, on the decking or from behind the large windows. Any queries we had were answered promptly and nothing differed from the description here. It is a relatively short walk to West Bay for a choice of shops, bars and restaurants and handy for the coastal walk with it's endless options. We really enjoyed our stay, walking and beachcombing. There is a small car park in front of the privacy giving hedge and coastal path, neither of which took away from the location or the fantastic view. In only two minutes you can be sat on the wide pebble beach enjoying the sea air or taking the leap into the surprisingly mild water. A great location giving access to a beautiful stretch of coastline straight from the door and close by car to many attractions.

We had the most amazing time staying at Tim’s property. Eype was absolutely beautiful- away from the crowds and with this chalet you felt like you had your own private beach! The property itself was pristine- beautifully decorated, super clean and had everything you would need. All the helpful things are provided for you to make everything that bit easier when you arrive. We visited with a 6 yr old and a 6 month old and had the best time. Although baby bits aren’t provided, Tim was super clear in what we would need to bring and how we could arrange the rooms to suit us. You are literally a stones throw from the beach (we ate breakfast on it several days!) and although there is a small car park opposite the chalet it doesn’t spoil your views or create any noise (and we were there peak summer and hottest week)! It’s the perfect base for visiting all along the coast. We will be back for sure. Thanks for being such a great host Tim!

Great place to stay by the coast for a short break. Secluded chalet with a well stocked kitchen, Outdoor area & living space. Would highly recommend in the spring/summer, plenty of beaches and costal town ls within short cliff tip walks.

What a wonderful magical place to stay! This beautiful Eype seaside chalet was a real find- so special and a wonderful place to unwind and relax in. The hosts have thought of everything- from deckchairs, washing machine to really comfortable beds ( makes such a difference when the beds are great!) The facilities in the chalet are great- everything that you need in the kitchen, lovely shower, accessible parking and a beautiful beach on your doorstep! The perfect place for us as we are fossil fanatics and lovers of nature! Bring your binoculars for some great bird watching, walking boots for views to die for and a swimsuit for a dip in the sea. We will defo be back again- we had such a lovely time here we didn’t want to leave! Thank you for being wonderful hosts!

Very nice cabin in an amazing location

We had a great stay! The house is lovely and has every amenity. The view is gorgeous. The only thing missing in our opinion was some comfortable seating on the deck especially as we were extremely lucky with the weather. Also, being of a certain age - comfort is important. The road leading to the property is not for the faint hearted but we managed it. Hive beach and restaurant a highlight. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay thanks to great accommodation and location. Right on the coastal path with views from the lounge over the sea, with the doors onto a wraparound deck it was heavenly. Tim was very helpful beforehand so all easy to find and access. A great place to switch off and unwind.

We felt so at home in this lovely cosy, comfortable and wonderfully fitted out chalet overlooking the sea and next to clifftop walks. It was just the place for our mini retreat. Thank you so much for such a restorative and peaceful stay.

Fantastic location. The chalet was very comfortable and cosy. The location was perfect as we could walk over the hill to West Bay for dinner and activities instead of having to drive. When the tide was out you could also walk into West Bay via the beach. Bridport town is close by and has all the facilities needed. Great location for a family get away. Chalet was well appointed and the kitchen was perfect for cooking dinner. All in all a great find and we would love to come back.

Tim's place was just as described, very clean, comfy beds, a great shower, and just a few steps down to the beach. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare simple meals, and while there was a coffee maker, no pods are supplied, so just prepare for that ahead of time if you need to have coffee in your life. Host did provide tea, milk, sugar, and a couple of packets of biscuits, which was nice. Wi-Fi was really spotty, but we knew from reading other reviews that it could be problematic, and it wasn't a big deal for us since we were there to really "disconnect" from our hectic lives and just relax in a beautiful setting. But something to keep in mind if you need to do any work during your stay. The place was very cozy but comfortably housed our family of four for 3 nights. And while we had no trouble finding the place, there is a narrow single track road to get there, and it was a bit tricky to maneuver on a few occasions. Overall, highly recommend and would gladly stay agian!

Tim's chalet is a little gem! With a beautiful interior and ideal location, it's the perfect spot for a beach getaway. How lovely it was to step out the front door and right onto the Southwest Coast Path! It made for lovely morning strolls - be prepared for a steep walk! West Bay is only a short 30min walk from the chalet with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only downside was the parking area which is right in front of the chalet, often filled with cars and slightly hindering the sea view - but it made for good people watching. We would definitely visit here again and recommend Tim's chalet to friends!

We had a fantastic stay in Eype thanks. The chalet is in a gorgeous spot and we felt like it was a home from home. The only things we struggled a bit with was the wifi code and getting the TV to connect to wifi took some doing, otherwise all good. Super cosy beds and that view! thanks for a really great stay.

The location is breathtaking! We loved being right on the costal path, which made for some lovely walks and plenty of people watching. The property is very close to Westbay and Bridport, meaning there were plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to explore. As a host Tim was very quick to respond and we were even offered to stay 2 hours later as the cleaner wouldn’t be arriving for a few hours after the original check out time.

The chalet location is amazing and it was a relaxing setting. Only slight issue was with Internet being patchy as I was working one of the days. Nevertheless it was workable and our family thoroughly enjoyed the beach views and the walks.

We had a lovely stay at Eype. The chalet was very clean and comfortable, with easy access to the beach. The car park area between the chalet and the cliff edge was used all day, although never full at this time of year, and the cliff path goes right by the back deck, so we had a great time people-watching. Beautiful sunsets and dark skies for star gazing made it a really great spot. We had an issue when we arrived and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. The chalet had everything you need, although future guests may want to bring Vertuo coffee pods if they want to use the coffee machine, as we couldn’t get any locally. WiFi wasn’t the fastest but we could do what we needed so it wasn’t a problem. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful break at Tim’s place. Weather wasn’t ideal, but that didn’t bother us at all. Being able to see the sea made it perfect, and we still managed to get out to walk each day. A very comfortable spot in a fantastic location.

The most perfect stay! We were looking for somewhere away from it all and got it here. Everything we needed was readily available. It was cosy, warm and comfortable. Gorgeous beds , shower and amenities with the most gorgeous location for a December getaway. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

It was a beautiful location with a wonderful sea view. Great for beach walks and to just relax. The cabin was just right for the 4 of us - really comfy beds too. Loved that it was fully equipped and a nice touch that there was a selection of teas and a pint of milk when we arrived. We will be returning. Loved it

Had a wonderful few days in this stunning chalet. Have to say the views are stunning. So much so didn’t want to venture out too much. Perfect place to relax and chill, with the sound of the waves in the back ground. The chalet is furnished with high end comfort. The kitchen is fabulous, with every utility required. It does state WiFi …. But not sure this was available, and phone reception was very hit & miss….. not a problem for us, but might be for some. Would definitely book again. A little gem.

Really lovely location right on the beach, clean and spacious living area with everything you could need! Only downside was the car park outside the front (but we did go on a busy weekend - during the week it’s was almost empty)

A lovely spot. Wonderful to hear the sea and enjoy lovely views. When the car park is busy it can feel a little on top of you but most of the time it was no bother at all. Would happily stay here again.

We loved it here - a delightful, well-equipped chalet that satisfied our needs in a convenient location, providing a very peaceful break. The close proximity to the beach and coastal path was wonderful. The views were outstanding and the sunsets amazing. A good location for exploring both east and west along the coast. The car park to the front is busy, especially at weekends, and is very close to the veranda, but we got used to the comings and goings and most people were discrete and friendly. The blinds missing from the double doors could do with being replaced because of the proximity to the car park - we felt a bit exposed when it was dark. Navigating the single-track lane down to Eype needs some care at busy times. Overall, highly recommend!

What an amazing place !we enjoyed our stay with several swims in the sea and barbecues. Beautiful cabin with everything you need. Would definitely come back!

Tim's chalet is absolutely 5 star - spotless, comfy, tasteful and the location so near to the gorgeous Eype beach is just brilliant. We love this place so much as it is unspoilt and litter free and outstandingly beautiful and I can't wait til next year as it is my chosen special place for a birthday treat. The weather this year was unfathomable...the addition of a couple of electric fans would help sleeping at night and that would be my only add on...everything else is just A1 perfect in the chalet. There is an elephant in the room...that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the chalet and that is the car park it overlooks.....it is meant to be open from 8am til 8pm but in reality it is used from 7am til 11pm when the weather is good....and this CAN mean a lot of noise, fractious children and dogs and visitors getting in a tizz about paying the unbelievably cheap cost of £5 for the whole day to the lovely woman who collects the fee. Watching it all wearing SOH goggles is the key!!

A beautiful little gem of a place in a fantastic location. Easy access to the beach and parking. The property is very well set up and the living space is ideal for what you need. Would highly recommend this accommodation and host.

We had such an amazing time we didn’t expect to love the house so much .Walking wise it was the best experience we’ve ever had. With the lovely hills right next to our residency . Over all we would definitely recommend this trip and home to anyone.

First time using Airbnb. We had a relaxing time in this absolutely fantastic chalet. It is in a beautiful location with views out to sea. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the decking watching the world go bye. Couldn't ask for more. Will be booking to come back.

Great fresh and well provisioned place to stay, and a lovely beach almost on your doorstep. Enjoyed every moment, definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at this venue for just under a week. The first time we went down the lane to find the property was a little interesting as its right at the end of the road. But once we found it, it didn't take long to feel at home or memorise all the local routes. The property was well-maintained, clean and very peaceful, which resulted in us having a great stay. It is right on the edge of the beach and within 10 minutes of a town centre, supermarket and restaurants. Over all it was a really fantastic location and a fantastic place to stay

Gorgeous place, particularly good if you have little ones. Although they need to be Ok with a shower. Beach is 5 min walk, easy to get to. The terrace is south facing and overlooks a busy car park, so if you are looking for privacy then it will bother you but we didn’t mind and we could still enjoy the view. We got used to it. The place is immaculate, extremely comfortable and very well furnished. We loved it and will come back. Highly recommend as a base if you like coastal walks .

We have stayed at Eype Mouth previously and live the site. The holiday home was immaculate and very well equipped like staying in a brand new home. The hosts were very welcoming and we have plans to return again. Don’t miss visiting Hive Beach!!
