My property is a short walk from the centre of the historic harbour town of Lyme Regis and provides the perfect base for exploring the delights of the Jurassic Coast..
GROUND FLOOR:
The ground floor includes a large open plan living space and a well-equipped kitchen featuring high-end appliances.
The kitchen opens out onto the beautiful garden, leading up to a large BBQ terrace in the garden offering stunning sea views, particularly from the perfectly positioned cocoon chair (available March to September)!
The living area offers two sofas along with a pair of armchairs and a dining table with seating for 8. In case you get bored with looking out across Lyme Bay, there is a selection of board games and a television with access to Netflix and Apple TV.
Bedroom one is at the front of the ground floor (sea-facing), bedroom 1 has a super-king bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps and wall-mounted hooks for clothes hangers.
Bedroom two is at the rear of the ground floor (garden facing), it has twin wooden framed single beds and a chest of drawers.
The downstairs bathroom has a bath with shower, wash-basin, and toilet.
UPSTAIRS:
Bedroom three has twin single beds (one metal framed day-bed and one folding metal bed). This room also has a Nintendo Wii console with various games (Mario Kart, Wii Sports etc) so doubles as a snug/games room for the kids.
Bedroom four is the largest of the bedrooms with a window overlooking the garden to the rear, it includes a king-size bed, clothes rail, bedside table and chest of drawers along with a small desk that serves as a workstation for those that need to check their emails before heading out to the beach!
The upstairs bathroom includes a large shower, sink, and toilet.
This detached house is on a quiet, residential, no-through road.
Two vehicles can be parked on the private drive.
It is a short walk to the seafront and town centre to explore the many independent shops, pubs, and eateries. Along the promenade you will find the historic harbour and cobb wall.
The SW coast path is within easy reach as is the main coastal bus route and the A35 for those wishing to venture along the Jurassic coast or into East Devon.
Standard check-in time is 4pm onwards, and check-out time is before 10am.
There is an additional fee of £50-£100 for keys being lost or damaged.
A travel cot, high-chair and stair gates are available within the property to keep the little ones safe (also blackout curtains in every bedroom).

Had a great stay. The weather was poor for the duration but there were so many games for the children they couldn’t wait to get back to the house. Great location although we did take the car down to the sea front as the walk back up the hill with our collection of fossils wasn’t practical! The house is very well equipped and maintained. We cooked most nights and had all the utensils we needed. Ate at Swim restaurant which is a great place for adult and child menus. Would definitely recommend for a family or adult break

We had a fantastic couple of days here and couldn't fault the place. Everything we needed was at the house. Amazing views and very peaceful location. Sarah was extremely helpful.

A great base away from the crowds but still walkable to the centre of the town and beaches. We loved the fire pit which made the stay feel special. Great little touches like the Christmas tree, biscuits, milk etc.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at this property! It was spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Fabulous sea views in a peaceful neighbourhood within good walking distance of the sea front. It was such a pleasure to stay here and we will definitely look to stay again in the future!

We were very comfortable in the house and it met all our requirements in terms of space and amenities. It was very clean and had a fresh airy feel about it. The garden was also very pretty.

We had an absolutely brilliant time in Lyme Regis at Sarahs House - it totally delivered. We loved being able to see the sea over breakfast as we prepared for our day. The bedrooms were great for us, our children and our parents. Clean with storage space and black out curtains / blinds which is always a bonus. The garden was beautiful, although a little wet to make full use of it, it was stunning to look at. The garage was handy for storing sandy beach things and two cars on the drive was helpful. The walk into Lyme Regis down the hill was very doable. Would love to stay again !

Beautiful house and a stunning garden! Everything was so clean and spacious. The kids (11&6) particularly loved the chest of toys and board games/puzzles. NB. you need to bring your own beach towels and some places in Lyme Regis only take cash x

Really appreciated the provided shampoo and conditioner especially as I'd only packed one set but great to have 2 bathrooms. We've visited Lyme Regis previously and love it. We enjoyed the beach, fossil hunting, catch crabs and kayaking. Recommend The Pilot Boat and The Lyme Bay for food.

With four adults and two teenagers, we found the space more than comfortable—plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. The house is peaceful and beautifully maintained, with a stunning garden that was perfect for quiet mornings or evening drinks. The kitchen was very well equipped, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. The showers were excellent (a big plus!), and all the beds were extremely comfortable. Overall, a perfect base for exploring the area. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-appointed home away from home.

Stayed here with children and granddaughters between Christmas and New Year to celebrate a 'big' birthday and it was ideal. The house was super clean and so very well-equipped. So many games and toys there to suit a wide age-range. and the girls particularly liked playing with the Wii. The variety of teas/coffee was appreciated as were the biscuits. What a great house! We stayed as a family of 6 adults and it was the ideal spot for the 3 nights we stayed. We were very kindly given an early check in and communication throughout our stay was really good. There is plenty of space and nice to have a large open plan space. The views were also lovely of the sea. The only thing we felt was missing was a larger sofa as there wasn’t quite enough comfortable seating for when we were all there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s. The house was perfect for our family of four but another family could have easily joined us. There were toys and games for the children, the garden was beautiful and everything was perfectly clean. We will definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic family holiday at this lovely house. It was sparkly clean and very comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. It's great for the whole family. It's located on a nice quiet road and only a 10 minute walk down to the town but worth noting that it's quite a steep hill all the way back up so a good leg workout. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent layout. Owners thought through and took the most out of the space inside and outside. Very practical and created as true home with everything you need. We stayed as two families with children and did not feel anyhow “on the way” of each other’s daily routines. The only small inconvenience was speed of internet streaming. Not much owners could do about it as suspecting no reliable options available. We did see a new cable being put in, so hopefully it will get better this summer.

Great views over Lyme Regis- easy walk down to restaurants, with a steep hill to burn off the calories afterwards! The house was very comfortable for 7 adults with almost everything we needed to make a great Christmas dinner. 2 ovens certainly helped! We really enjoyed our stay.

This Airbnb in Lyme is excellent and in a superb location with the most amazing view down to the sea. The house is equipped with everything you could need and was beautiful inside and out. The garden is truly wonderful and our grandchildren really enjoyed exploring. We all had a fabulous holiday - thank you so much

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at, hands down. It was roomy and comfortable, which is not super common of the UK airbnbs we stayed at. The pictures don’t do justice to how great the view is and how beautiful the garden is. It’s a very reasonable walk down into town and down to the beaches. Highly highly recommend.

The house was very clean and well cared for with good quality appliances and there was always plenty of hot water. The beds were extremely comfortable, and thank you for moving the desk down from the upstairs bedroom to a bedroom downstairs to allow our disabled son to have it in his bedroom to give him his privacy away from the main area. The garden was beautiful and very peaceful and it was a lovely place to relax in; the views from the property are wonderful. Our only slight surprise was there wasn't a teapot in the kitchen, and a smaller saucepan for boiling eggs or similar would have been useful but other than that the kitchen was extremely well equipped. It's only a 15 minute walk to the town but obviously Lyme is hilly so you can't avoid the hills which ever way you go. We had a wonderful holiday which worked very well with 5 adults, 2 of whom sadly had to 'work from home' on a couple of days' and are already planning to return next May.

The views from the front and the top terrace of the garden over looking Lyme Regis and the sea was spectacular. The house is beautiful inside and out and the we had all we needed during our stay including thoughtful extras like milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc on arrival. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return in the future.

The layout really worked, with two bedrooms on each floor meaning that each of the parents could be close to their children. We had a lovely stay, the house is great, clean, spacious and well equipped. Lots to do in the area. Walking distance to town/beach just know there is the uphill home! Great views and a beautiful garden which would be great in the summer too. Responsive and helpful host too.

Wow.!! We had the most fantastic time at this amazing, quiet and beautiful house in Lyme. It was so tidy, modern, so clean, lovely comfy beds, bathrooms, lovely garden and to cap it all we had 10min walk to town where loads of access to Beach, pubs, restaurants, shops etc etc. Views to die for as well , and so quiet and to top it all we had beautiful sunshine on the amazing walks in local areas. Impossible to beat. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay here as a group of friends! The house was well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean. Walking distance to the beach and excellent pubs and cafes! Monmouth beach is also great for fosilling and definitely try out the 16th century fudge shop. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place. It was beautiful inside and out with plenty to keep the children entertained when the weather was unsettled. It had everything we needed for our weekend away and we were made to feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful well designed home and landscaped garden, we enjoyed our stay very much. Worked well as a three generation holiday. Having parking is a real bonus in Lyme. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Just come back from a week at Sarah's house. The house was gorgeous and the garden fantastic. We loved sitting at the top in the swinging chair with a glass of wine watching the shooting stars. The interior was just as in the photos and the beds were comfy. It is nice and quiet (apart from the seagulls of course which was to be expected) and a not too long walk into town. The walk back uphill gets into your legs but you get used to it. Good parking for two cars but it's also no problem to park on the road. Along the beach are the usual amenities and restaurants. We also found a couple of fossils on the beach towards Charmouth. All in all a very nice stay. Thank you.

The garden was like a scene from Chelsea flower show, utterly beautiful and peaceful. Couldn't think of a nicer, tranquil setting to read a book or gaze at the sea than sitting on the'egg' chair at the top of the idylic garden. The property was a 25 min walk into town (down a big hill) but if able, worth it because parking in Lyme Regis was tricky due to our visit being in peak season. There are some lovely places to visit and walks nearby. A book of local walks was provided by owners and we walked to the top of the Golden Cap with outstanding views. The property owner supplied concise, clear instructions and helpful information on local recommendations which was appreciated. There were copious amounts of games for the children which was a lovely thoughtful touch. Biscuits, toiletries & plenty of loo rolls was noted & appreciated. Thank you!

Excellent house for 8 people with all amenities . Just about walkable to beach when with little kids and the playground on the way down was a life saver! We had a problem early on in our stay but it was dealt with immediately and efficiently. All the toys and games and books for the children were much appreciated. Thanks Sarah!

Really enjoyed our stay here in Lyme Regis. It’s a great property that was well presented and had fantastic facilities and a beautiful garden. The property was a short walk into the town. We loved walking first thing in the morning and going for a swim in the sea. There are lots of great shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Plenty to do and some great recommendations from the hosts.

Sarahs place exceeded our expectations. The house is well equipped with everything you could want. The gardens are delightful with sea views. We stayed with my daughter, son in law and 20 month twin granddaughters and we all loved our week there. We would definitely come back.

Absolutely loved this beautiful home. Great location, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, it was top class. However it was the little touches that did it for me, milk in the fridge, box of biscuits, amazing smelling shower gel etc. cannot rate this place more. I'll definitely be back

Fairfield park was the perfect place for our 2 families of 4 to stay to explore the area. The house was clean, well stocked and spacious. The garden was a real highlight as well! The host was helpful, very responsive and friendly.
