Come and stay at this stylish and modern family home in the heart of the Pearl of Dorset.
The spacious home also features a ‘Dart’s Den’ in the garden, ideal for when the weather is against you or you just need that extra space to spread out and keep the family entertained.
This place is just a 5-minute walk from Lyme Regis beach front and 10 minutes from Monmouth Beach which is a favourite with fossil hunters! Also, minutes from the historic Lyme Regis Harbour and Cobb Wall.
You will enter the house on the ground floor into a lovely, bright, open-plan living space and well-equipped kitchen with a large central island and dining table with 6 chairs. The layout creates a great social space.
The living area offers two sofas along with an armchair and there is a selection of board games along with a Smart TV with freeview. The property benefits from full fibre broadband with speeds up to 72MB (WiFi throughout).
Through the kitchen there is a small step up into the utility area and ‘coffee station’ complete with Nespresso coffee machine to get you going for a day out exploring the Jurassic Coast! The utility area has a washing machine and tumble dryer along with a microwave, more cupboard space and a second kitchen sink. There is also a downstairs WC.
Beyond the utility room is the extensive rear garden with a paved seating area ideal for BBQ’s, an outdoor dining table with 6 chairs, and a pair of sun loungers in the Spring/Summer months. You will also find an outdoor tap for for rinsing off any sand brought back from the beach!
Also in the garden is our ‘Darts Den’ and chill out zone – a warm and inviting versatile space away from the main house. It gives a little bit of extra space to spread out if the weather isn’t kind and you want to stay closer to home but also a nice addition to an evening in the garden with a BBQ in the better weather. The den has a self-operating heater, so it is usable all year round, with doors and views out into the garden. The Darts Den is a great space for adults and older children alike – please don’t let younger children use the darts for obvious reasons!
Upstairs there are three good sized bedrooms with a twin room at the back overlooking the garden next to a the double room which has hanging space and a chest of drawers.
The large master bedroom is at the front of the house with a king size bed and an en suite WC. This room has a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, and a small coffee table with 2 chairs. From the side of the bay window in this room is a lovely view of the coastline to the east.
The upstairs bathroom includes a shower and a large heated towel rail along with a toilet and wash basin. In 2024, in an effort to reduce plastic waste, we have switched away from individual single-use toiletries to refillable pump dispensers. We provide Geneva Green Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash.
This detached house is on a quiet residential, no-through road.
Two vehicles can be parked on the private drive – parking should be undertaken with great care as the road is very narrow – we find it best to drive past the house and then reverse onto the drive.
There is a play park just a 2-minute walk away and it is a very short walk to the seafront and town centre to explore the many independent shops, pubs, and eateries.
The SW coast path is within easy reach as is the main coastal bus route and the A35 for those wishing to venture along the Jurassic coast or into East Devon.
Standard check-in time is 4 pm onwards, and check-out time is before 10 am.
A travel cot and high-chair are available within the property but please note that there are no stair gates.
There is an additional fee of £50-£100 for keys being lost or damaged.

The house was immaculate and just like the photos . Very spacious and comfortable, modern and well equipped. Plenty of fluffy white towels , fresh white bed linen and a great shower. There were complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits provided, which was a lovely extra . Gary was a great host , helpful and responsive. I would recommend this property, we had a lovely week here

We had an absolutely lovely 3 nights in Akassa in early September. The house was gorgeous with lots of light and space. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We were even lucky enough to be able to use the sun loungers in the garden, in the sun!

Gary's place was in the perfect location. Just five minute's walk outside of town but in a quiet spot with no through traffic. The house is a decent size pretty well equipped throughout and a really nice garden but we just didn't get the weather to enjoy it as we should of. Love Lyme Regis and this is an excellent place to stay and enjoy it.

Positive: There was a great park for young children in Anning Road. Negative: It would be very difficult for 6 full sized people to sit around the dining table which is under the stairs. We had two small children so just about OK.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, we had a lovely family get-together. All bedrooms very comfortable and a large spacious bathroom. All very clean. Wonderful views a beautiful house. Kitchen set up works well would have loved an electric whisk for our whipping cream & bbq utensils.

We had a fantastic time in Lyme Regis and Gary’s house was perfectly located to explore the area. We loved coming home to such a light-filled, beautiful house each evening. The garden was fantastic and kids loved playing darts in the game room. Highly recommend this house!

Great place to stay, clean and comfortable with a lovely garden for evenings and BBQs. The games room in the garden was a real hit. Very close to the sea and the town, we did not use our cars once we had parked. Plenty of space for 6 adults and a baby. Definitely recommend.

We had the most wonderful week at Gary’s property, Akassa on Ferndown Road. It was perfectly situated, being only 5 mins walk from the sea, centre and the promenade. It was super clean and was decorated beautifully, feeling both decluttered and homely. Gary had left us milk and biscuits which was wonderful after the long drive down. The kitchen had everything we needed including some welcome extras, like salt, oil for cooking and some herbs and spices. The bedrooms were perfect and the shower was lovely and powerful. The outdoor area had 3 different areas to sit and enjoy the sun and we had a lot of fun playing darts in the games room. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Gary for a super holiday experience.

Wonderful location on a private road with parking, a short walk down the hill into downtown Lyme Regis. Large, beautifully renovated home with lots of room to spread out, including a lovely backyard & patio area. Negative: Suggest providing lightweight blankets for beds as down quilts were too much for the summer heat. Maybe an extra oscillating fan? Washcloths would also be nice, and a few more laundry detergent pods. Otherwise, the property had just about everything we needed.

The property was very well presented, very clean and tidy. We only stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect for what we wanted. Easy walking distance into the centre of Lyme Regis and to the sea front. Lots to do and see and great restaurants within easy walk. Would definitely stay again

We had an amazing stay at Gary’s place. The house was clean and welcoming and exactly as described and shown in the photos. It was such a bonus to have the darts room, my family enjoyed spending time there in the evenings. The communication from the hosts was great and made the whole process easy and stress free. I would recommend staying here :)

We loved the house, which was spacious, well designed and comfortable. We enjoyed both the loungers in the courtyard garden and in the evening the upper level with fairy lights was a lovely touch. We’d definitely stay again.

A great place to stay only a short walk from the town centre. The accommodation was great and the open plan living area is perfect for families. The hosts were easy to get in touch with in the build up to the trip making things easy for us.

We had a great stay here - the location of the house was perfect, a short walk away from the town centre. The place was very spacious, especially considering the great location, and our kids loved playing in the garden and also the den. Having parking was also very convenient. Host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lyme Regis! The house is brilliantly located a short walk from the centre of town and had everything we needed for our family (2 adults & 3 teenagers) to have a little mini-break over the Easter holidays. We particularly enjoyed being able to access beautiful walks and great restaurants without needing to use the car. We're already planning our next trip!

this house really does live up to its "stunning" adjective. It's a beautiful home that is really well thought-out and well-designed. It's generously equipped without being cluttered, very spacious and comfortable. spotlessly clean and welcoming. We felt very at home as soon as we arrived and Gary's instructions about the house, heating, how to use oven/ hob etc were very clear. As a blind person I can find it difficult to orientate myself in a new place but the house flows so well I had no trouble at all. My guide dog loved mooching around the garden which was safe and enclosed and had lots of sun traps. Our daughter enjoyed challenging us to darts in the den which is a great little space. It was also great to have easy parking so close to the centre of Lyme Regis.Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return one day.

A fabulous short stay ! This property is in a great location and well equipped and very comfortable. Great beds for a good nights sleep . Parking is tricky approach the property slowly so you can pull in limited space to turn at top of road but this is such a great property ,

Our boys had the best time in the darts den, it really added to the excitement for them. Fantastic location, easy to walk into Lyme Regis. Parking for 3 cars is tight, I would only park 3 if smaller cars. We would love to visit again in the future!

Like many it is clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped, but it gets extra points for helpful details such as the umbrella for guest use, for the excellent darts den in the garden, and for everything feeling brand new. But the real standouts here and key reasons to stay are the location, on a nice quiet street but just an easy 5-minute walk into Lyme, and the driveway, given parking spots in town are like gold dust even in February. Add in excellent communication before, during and after the stay and really couldn’t ask for more. One of our favourite stays, we’d love to go back

But the house was very dusty with cobwebs all around the radiators and around the hob, for the £99 cleaning charge I would expect more. The other issue is the house suffers from damp, after the second day the smell became more noticeable. Repair work has been done around windows and wall under stairs, corner of rooms with external walls. The agent/owner must be aware of the problem as there are an excessive number of air fresheners in the property to hide smell

This was my third stay here in a year so always happy to return. The house is nicely presented and clean and the management agent is always on hand, responsive and carries out any requests - worth pointing this out as there is no direct contact with the host, Gary. The beds are clean and comfortable, bathroom is lovely, however we do not find the sofa very comfy. One previous review stated that the house smelt damp, we had a few rainy days and the house did need the heating on - the upstairs radiators were turned off and after remedying this, the house felted much better and more homely so I think this is not an issue, don't be put off. The road is quiet and the neighbours are friendly, there is some building work opposite but the guy is working alone to avoid noise and parking problems. It is a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants and this is a great bonus as you can leave your car and walk everywhere. I love the area so I plan to return here as much as I can :)

A lovely, well-equipped house in a great setting. It had all we needed and it was great to be able to leave the car and walk into town and out onto the coast path.

The house had everything we needed and a few extra touches which were very welcome. The owners are generous with things like toilet paper. So annoying when they're not! Beds are comfy and rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Downstairs there's plenty of space, easy clean and plenty of crockery. A proper home from home!

A great property for exploring with the town, beach and shops all within walking distance with a large park for the kids just around the corner. A good layout inside the property and the darts den was a hit with our kids. The host was extremely responsive and the property clean with everything as described. We will be back when we visit the area again.

Great place and lovely host - would definitely stay again and absolutely recommend to anyone. We went for a fossil digging weekend for our sons 3rd birthday and he absolutely loved the house. Super comfy beds and lovely to cook in that kitchen.

We had a great stay, the house was clean, spacious and had a very contemporary feel. Contained everything for a good stay, the welcome tray and extras were really appreciated. Very well located with just a five minute walk to the main town yet very peaceful and secluded. Would love to return soon.

We had a perfect Lyme Regis Easter holiday with four people here. The house is situated perfect to explore the town, with its own parking space, and large enough to comfortably host 6 people. It has all amenities you want, it is large and very comfortable - even with sea view. Very clean, and we got lots of information on the region.

Very nice home with lot's of modern amenities. Close to town and walking along the Southwest Coastal Path. Recommend walking beach from Lyme to Charmouth at low tide for fossil hunting! Thanks for having us, would recommend highly if visiting the area.
